Matt & Tamara Gibbons

Gibbons Group is a remote-first agency who cares about agents' mental health and financial wellbeing. Based in Ponte Vedra, Florida, we are raising three kids and two dogs. Tamara Gibbons, a licensed psychotherapist serves as our Agent Success Partner. She works with agents to address mindset blocks, sales psychology, and the emotional challenges. Matt Gibbons is the Coach to help you hit your goals and runs most of the trainings. We have over 9,000 clients in our agency and are just getting started!

Our mission is to partner with licensed life insurance agents and we lead with Integrity, Family, Service, Respect, and Partnership because trust and professionalism are non-negotiable in this business.

What does the agency do to keep agents around?

We care about agents' mental health and financial wellbeing. Tamara Gibbons, a licensed psychotherapist serves as our Agent Success Partner. She works with agents to address mindset blocks, sales psychology, and the emotional challenges. She delivers structured mindset sessions targeting the fear, rejection tolerance, and income anxiety that kills agents in months 1-6.

Do I need to live in Florida?

You can live anywhere! We are just based in Ponte Vedra, FL

Is this fully remote?

100% Remote. Most agents work from home virtually helping client via video call or phone call.

Is this W2 or 1099?

You will receive a 1099 from each insurance carrier at the end of each year. We contract you directly with the carrier so all the commission goes to the agent.

Do you provide leads?

We can structure your commission to provide leads to you but we prefer that we set you up on a higher commission so you can invest in your own business. We also do profit sharing and gave back over $50,000 in profit sharing lead credit to the agents. We are not a lead company and have venders we are partnered with for direct mail mortgage protection leads. Most agents work leads with an average price of $6.00.

What is your commission structure?

This is based on experience and how much help and support you require to get started. You can earn a 105% contract in 30 days and a 120% in 90 days. We used to give out large contracts but now we make agents earn them. Agency builders can earn up to a 140%! Promotion guidelines are based on production not politics! YOU EARN YOUR CONTRACT!

How fast can I start?

Today! We have our own contracting department that can help you get contracted with carriers today. We have a state of the art training platform as well to help you make 1st sale. I was able to make $299,000 my 1st full year in this business so I can teach you how I did it. This is an activity business and we are looking for leaders!

What licenses do I need?

Life insurance license only. If your only licensed in one state that is fine but recommend getting licensed in at least 3-5 states to open you up to more leads.

What if I’m not licensed yet?

We can help with a discount code for the study course!

Do you offer Health insurance to 1099 Contractors?
